Yahoo Autos reports that Sam Altman waited more than seven years for the second-generation Tesla Roadster, tried to cancel his reservation and recover the $50,000 deposit, then congratulated Tesla after the redesigned car was finally revealed. Elon Musk replied that Altman had changed his mind.
The Associated Press reports that the prototype uses cold-gas thrusters and suction hardware for short airborne moves and spins. Production is not expected until 2028, no price has been announced and Tesla's reservation terms do not guarantee when — or whether — a car will be delivered.
So Sam paid $50,000 to beta-test a waitlist, asked for the money back, then applauded the demo. The Roadster still has not shipped. The content arrived immediately.
