Nvidia will purchase $3 billion of Meta's newly announced $95 billion stock offering, according to Axios. The companies are also expanding their work on Muse and the Muse model family, because apparently the AI money furnace needed another fuel line.
Jensen Huang described agents as a new computing paradigm. Mark Zuckerberg said the partnership would help deliver personal agents and frontier models to billions of people. Nvidia also released an image of Muse mascot Jolly dressed like Huang, complete with the leather jacket.
The mascot is the cleanest explanation of the deal: Meta gets money and chips; Nvidia gets a customer, equity and brand placement on the little guy. Corporate synergy has reached Build-A-Bear.
Three billion dollars is serious capital. Dressing the blob like the investor is how you know everyone remained normal about it.
